EUP AND ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS DESIGN

The European EuP (Energy Using Products) Directive and similar emerging regulations and industry standards worldwide will require Electronic equipment to become more environmentally friendly. The key focus is on reduced energy consumption, but other environmental aspects will need to be addressed by producers.

  • The European Member States are actively transposing the EuP Directives to national regulations
  • The Eu Commission is conducting studies for implementing measures to IT equipment, power supplies, set top boxes, power supplies, rechargers, and general standby losses in electrical equipment
  • Medical Equipment: Final stages of releasing International ECD standard (IEC 60601-1-9)
  • IT and Communications equipment: Final stages of releasing International ECD standard (IEC62075)

ECD Technology can support your regulatory and management requirements on Environmentally Conscious Design.
